President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko revealed the details of a telephone conversation with the temporarily acting Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel. They shared during a meeting on the situation on the border of the republic, transfers BelTA.
According to him, the first topic of the negotiations was the problem of refugees and the situation on the border of Belarus. Lukashenko said that “made a proposal on the disconnection of the situation,” but did not voice the specific details of his initiative.
“We came to a consensus that the escalation of anyone is not needed – neither the European Union, nor Belarus. And to admit escalation, as if someone would like this, right up to a hot collision, we cannot,” he stressed.
