US President Joe Biden signed an infrastructure law with a total value of 1.2 trillion dollars, which the House of Representatives after numerous disputes was able to approve in early November, reports Reuters.
The document provides for the allocation of funds to a number of projects for the development of areas such as transport and electrical communications, broadband Internet, water supply systems and protection against climate change.
Plan is one of the main parts of the Bayden Economic Program. In another important part, it is said about additional social spending worth 1.75 trillion dollars. The head of the White House expected that Congress would take them at the same time, but due to disputes inside the Democratic Party, only one was able to approve.
The exact amount of expenses according to the current law will be from 550 billion to 1 trillion dollars. Means are assumed to be distributed for five years.
Previously former US President Donald Trump said that Bayden’s infrastructure plan is an attempt to bring the United States to socialism.
