President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that Minsk was interested in obtaining Russian missile systems “Iskander”. He said this in an interview with the Russian magazine “National Defense”.
Belarus wants to get “Iskander”, because rocket complexes are needed in the Western and South directions. “Let stand. This is 500 kilometers a launch range, because our” polonais “is up to 300 kilometers,” said Lukashenko.
In September, Lukashenko and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed on the list of Russian weapons, which will be delivered to Belarus until 2025. According to BelTA agency, Belarus will purchase weapons by more than a billion dollars.
Earlier it was reported that the operational-tactical complexes “Iskander” will receive highly melany rockets, almost invulnerable to the enemy. They are practically impossible to be found, while the ammunition can perform the most difficult maneuvers on the trajectories, which allows it to leave the opponent’s anti-missile estimates and to hit the ground targets with particular accuracy.
The new ammunition is characterized by a radio absorbing coating and is able to hit targets at a distance of up to 500 kilometers.
