Germany assessed situation with migrants in phrase “scold Lukashenko not enough”

To scold the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko due to the crisis with migrants is not enough, it is necessary to take concrete measures. This was said temporarily acting by the head of the FRG Hayko Maas, RIA Novosti reports.

According to him, the law enforcement agencies of Belarus accompany migrants to the borders of the European Union (EU). Maas also stated that Lukashenko is fully responsible for the situation.

Earlier, MAAS stated that the EU is ready to tighten the sanctions against the Belarusian authorities due to the influx of migrants to the border with Poland. “We will leave sanctions on all who participate in the targeted importation of migrants. Lukashenko must understand that its calculation does not work. By the way, it does not exclude the expansion of sanctions in other areas of economics in the future,” he said.

The migration crisis on the eastern border of the European Union began in May 2021. Refugee groups from Africa and the Middle East began to massively cross the border of Poland, Lithuania and Latvia from Belarus. In the escalation of the migration crisis, the authorities of the affected countries accused Minsk and Moscow.
