In the future, the recently recreated 56th artillery command of the US Army in Germany will receive a number of currently created samples of the newest American weapons, writes The Drive.
The publication reminds that during the Cold War, this formation was responsible for the MGM-31C Pershing II nuclear missiles, taken from weapons after signing the US and the USSR who had already ceased to the Agreement on the Elimination of Middle and Less Rangenesses (RSMD).
The Drive writes that the new weapon that the United States plan to accommodate in Europe will be at the new technological level to solve about the same tasks as the rockets of the Cold War. Publications are mentioned, in particular, the promising Hyperzvuk Rocket Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW), called Dark Eagle (“Dark Eagle”), the Typhon multifunctional system that allows you to run a variety of rockets from one installation, including RIM-174 Standard Extended Range Active Missile (Eram) and Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM), and Precision Strike Missile (PRSM) rocket.
In June, the US Army demonstrated a possible scenario of the application of the PRSM missile, called the “killer” of Russian air defense systems (air defense), for example, S-400 “Triumph”.
In May Magazine Magazine Popular Mechanics wrote that the LRHW US Army Rocket, launched from London, is able to hit Moscow during military conflict.
