The Minister of National Defense of Poland Mariusch Blazhak said that the Polish military is armed with American-made armored cars. In 2022, the United States will transmit 300 Cougar machines. This is reported by Defence24.
Machines will be transferred as part of the sale of surplus military property. The price of the transaction will include delivery and components. The amount of the contract is not disclosed. The publication notes that the defense department of Poland explains the purchase of Cougar to the operational necessity. The first cars will be supplied to Poland in 2022.
Cougar belongs to the class of machines with anti-mining protection (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected). The all-wheel drive car received a special bottom, which dispels the energy of the explosive wave. MRAP COUGAR released since 2002.
