Merkel’s calls bypass Lukashenko explained to Minsk’s behavior

Acting Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel deliberately did not call the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko directly to discuss the migration crisis that broke out from the borders with Poland. Instead, she contacted him bypassing – through Russian President Vladimir Putin. This statement was made by the official representative of the Cabinet of FRG Shteaffen Zaibert, the quote citates “Interfax”.

Wiebrt explained such an act that Lukashenko allegedly does not go with Merkel to communicate.

“According to the German government, the Russian government has a certain influence on the Belarusian regime, to the Belarusian government. Negotiations with President Putin are negotiations with those who listen to Minsk,” added a representative of the Cabinet.
