Request for early release will consider Breivik in Norway jail

The question of parole terrorist Anders Breivik, who is serving a sentence for committing terrorist attacks in 2011, will be considered in the walls of the Norwegian prison Skien, where the offender is found, the newspaper Dagsavisen.

Breivik himself had requested that the process took place in the hall of the District Court of Oslo – in the same place at the trial after he committed the attacks. But, according to the decision of the District Court of Telemark “preconditions related to security” does not allow us to satisfy his request.

It is planned that the request for the early release of terrorists will be considered on January 18. To do this, re-equipped gym in Skien prison.

Breivik has filed a petition for parole in September 2020. This is made possible because the offender has served at that time eight years old, which corresponds to the minimum term of imprisonment for his sentence.

July 22, 2011, Breivik committed two terrorist attacks. First detonated a home-made device in the government quarter of Oslo – eight people were killed. After that, the killer entered the youth camp of the ruling Norwegian Labor Party on the island of Utoya, where shot 69 more people.
