State Department of the United States will finance the popularization of American culture in Tajikistan with the help of music, transfers RT TV channel.
According to the document, the goal of the project is to solve the problem of lack of knowledge about American culture and music among Tajiks. The obligations of the contractors attracted to the project, for example, can enter the organization of the contest of the executors of American songs in Tajikistan. The grant specifies that the texts of the compositions must bear a positive sense, they do not allow obscene vocabulary.
In addition, the State Department will give artists to the records of their speeches in the studio. These songs will be “granted to the public” for free. The winner of the competition is waiting for a tour of the major cities of Tajikistan. Washington intends to develop among the contestants and their audience “a stronger sympathy for American music and culture.”
The minimum size of the grant will be 15 thousand dollars, the maximum – 40 thousand. Non-commercial, non-governmental organizations and civil society organizations can apply for financing.
previously it became known that the US State Department will allocate funds for funding for programs “to support freedom of speech and independent media” in Kyrgyzstan. The project participants will get from 10 to 50 thousand dollars.
