The European Court of General Jurisdiction supported the decision of the European Commission to finish Google’s company by 2.4 billion euros (2.8 billion dollars) for violation of antitrust laws. This is reported by CNBC.
According to the publication, in June 2017, the Executive Body of the European Union (EU) decided to finish Google for 2.4 billion euros for the abuse of the dominant position in the market search systems on the Internet. The company’s division challenged the decision in the court of the highest instance.
The main legal adviser of Corporation Corporation Walker said that Google “respects, but disagree with the decision of the European Commission”, and the company’s actions on the market are useful for both advertisers and users. However, the court of general jurisdiction left a sentence in force. It is noted that the decision may be appealed and transferred to the Supreme Court of EU.
On November 8, it became known that the Tagansky District Court of Moscow fined the company Google and Telegram for six million rubles for refusal to delete information prohibited in Russia from their resources. In particular, Google ordered to pay two million, and Telegram was fined four million.
