Embassy responded to reports of detention of Russians in Poland

Polish authorities have not yet noticed the Russian side of the detention of a Russian citizen on charges of aiding illegal migration from Belarus. So in the Russian embassy responded to the request of “Renta.ru” to comment on the statement of Polish border guards.

In the Russian diplomatography, they noted that according to the consular convention concluded between the countries in 1992, the Polish side has three days to notify the Embassy on the detention of Russian. The embassy itself has not yet appealed to the Poland authorities for clarification.

Messages that the Polish authorities detained a Russian for helping migrants trying to cross the border with Belorussia, appeared on November 10. Together with him also detained a citizen of Sweden and a citizen of Lithuania.

Earlier on November 10, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharov answered accusations from Western countries in the involvement of the Russian Federation to the migration crisis.
