Lithuania: PE mode will be introduced due to migrants on border with Belorussia

In Lithuania, a state of emergency (emergency) will be introduced due to illegal migrants on the border with Belorussia. The corresponding decision took the Seimas of the Republic. This is reported by “Sputnik Lithuania”.

The decision on the introduction of the PE regime was adopted for the first time in the history of the Republic of Lithuania. Previously, it was approved by the Government of the country. Now he supported most of the deputies of the Seimas. For this decision, 122 parliamentarians voted, against one.

Emergency will enter into force on Wednesday, November 10, and will last a month. It will act at a distance of five kilometers along the entire Lithuanian-Belarusian border. It is noted that it is injected in order to eliminate the threat, which for society is a massive influx of migrants.

Measures taken, in particular, provide for restricting the right of correspondence, telephone conversations and other types of communication for refugees located in the ChP zone. In addition, Lithuanian citizens will be denied entry into the border area.

On the eve of the Lithuanian authorities sent troops to the border with Poland and Belarus because of the next exacerbation of the migration crisis, during which a huge group of illegal migrants from the Middle East tried to break into the Polish territory.
