Dress worn by Amy Winehouse at his last concert sold more than 200,000 euros

This bamboo printed black dress was part of a batch of 800 items on sale by the parents of the British singer in July 2011, one month after his last concert.

On June 18, 2011, the British singer Amy Winehouse occurred in Concert in Belgrade, Serbia. She wore a bamboo printed black dress, designed by her stylist and friend Naomi Parry. But the performance, disastrous that night, led to the judgment of the artist’s tour with a serious addiction to alcohol and drugs. A month later, on July 23, she died at the age of 27, at her home in London an overdose of alcohol.

This dress carried by the singer during this sadly historical concert was sold for 243,200 dollars (about 210 000 euros), or sixteen times more than its estimated value, during an auction organized in California, in On weekends on Saturday 6th and Sunday, November 7th.

Eight hundred objects sold

The dress sold was the most valuable object of a total of 800 – including books, DVDs – having belonged to the artist and who were auctioned by his parents, Mitch and Janis. Some $ 4 million was obtained at the end of the sale organized by Julien House.

A heart-shaped handbag made by Moschino, which Winehouse had worn during the Brit Awards in 2007, was sold for $ 204,800. Other dresses belonged to him were sold at prices ranging from $ 12,500 to $ 150,000.
