Polish opposition called on to begin consultations within NATO due to migrants

Warsaw is on the verge of aggravating relations with Minsk due to the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border, which requires consultations within NATO. This was stated by the former head of the European Commission (EC), the Former Prime Minister of Poland and the current opposition leader Donald Tusk, RIA Novosti reports.

Politician told that it is very concerned about the situation on the eastern border, where hundreds of illegal migrants are attempting to force the power invasion of Poland. “Perhaps it’s time to think if we should launch 4 NATO Article 4 if our border is directly subject to physical pressure with the participation of Belarusians, that is, I’m talking about Belarusian services,” said Tusk.

Article 4 involves consultations of NATO participants, if, in the opinion of one of the parties, territorial integrity, political independence or security of any of the participants of the Alliance is predicting.

“In my opinion, this is an absolute reason to begin consultations within the North Atlantic Covenant, since this concerns the security of the entire Eastern Border of the European Union and NATO countries, such as Poland and Lithuania,” concluded Tusk.

Earlier, Poland transferred to the border with the Belarusian fighters with terrorists to protect against the crowd of illegal migrants. The Border Guard of Poland also published a video on which crowds of migrants coming to the Polish-Belarusian border are visible. On frames you can see people of all ages with bags and bales.

The migration crisis at the borders of Belarus and the European Union began at the end of May. Large groups of illegal migrants from Africa and the Middle East began to storm the borders of Lithuania, Poland and Latvia in the hope of getting refuge in the European Union. It is assumed that the Belarusian authorities use their national tour operator “Centerkurort” to cross the migrants to the EU borders and earn it.
