Museum of Center for Training of Cosmonauts – 54 years

In November 1967, the Museum of Gifts of Cosmonauts was opened in the star town, which is known as the Museum of the Center for Training of Cosmonauts named after Yu.A. Gagarin. It was at the CPC that the task of collecting and storing unique exhibits was assigned. At that time, the most part of them were gifts that the cosmonauts were handed to the people in Russia and abroad.

The Museum’s Creation Initiative belongs to Yuri Gagarin, who spent on him the first excursion for youth organizations from 82 countries of the world. One of the halls is now a memorial office of the first cosmonaut.

In the Museum Foundations more than 21,000 storage units, of which two thousand exhibits are based on the basis of the exposure. Among them: the first space simulator “Vostok”, the descent apparatus of the Soyuz-4 spacecraft, the heat-shield suit of the Gagarin Flight Speaker, a parade uniform, a service car and awards of the first astronaut. Over the years, more than 2.5 million people visited the museum, these are representatives of over one hundred countries of the world.

Epidemiological restrictions influenced the work of the museum, from time to time he has to close its doors for visitors. Nevertheless, experts continue to conduct a huge work aimed at ensuring the preservation of exhibits and the popularization of domestic cosmonautics. It became especially large-scale in the current year dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the first flight of a person in space. For the anniversary date on the CPK website, opened the heading “History of one exhibit” to acquaint everyone with the pearls of the museum exposition.

Observing strict sanitary rules, the Museum of the CPC hosts cosmonauts, astronauts and participants in the space flight, which, according to tradition, leave autographs in the Book of Sampling Entries.

Congratulations to the Museum of CPC Happy Birthday! I sincerely thank his unique specialists for the robotable labor. We wish you happiness, health and well-being!
