First country in world introduced a mandatory vaccination of children from COVID-19

Costa Rica has become the world’s first country, where they introduced a mandatory vaccination from COVID-19 for children from 5 to 11 years. This is reported on the site of the local ministry of health.

Vaccination for this age group will begin in March 2022. The relevant decision was made by the National Commission for Vaccination and Epidemiology “in accordance with the principle of best to ensure the interests of children and adolescents.”

The country’s authorities made a vaccination from COVID-19 to the list of mandatory back in March, but it did not apply to children under 12 years.
