The launch of the Russian gas pipeline “Northern Stream-2” will strengthen Europe’s energy safety in the conditions of the current gas crisis. The value of the project in an interview with RIA Novosti rated a new head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Ministry) Mikhael Linhart.

Bloomberg analysts earlier accused Russia in reluctance to save Europe with additional gas supplies against the background of the ongoing energy crisis. In addition, Moscow criticizes, arguing that she wants to use the energy crisis in Europe to put pressure on Brussels and achieve acceleration of certification of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline.
On November 4, it became known that German Bundestag’s deputies doubted at the launch of the North Stream-2 gas pipeline until January 2022, they believe that at this point the certification will not end yet. In addition, the Ministry of Economy and Energy of Germany stated that the certification process of the Northern Flow-2 continues, the end date of the procedure is still unknown.
