Update free anti-virus package ClamAV 0.104.1

Company Cisco Posted New editions of the free anti-virus package clamav 0.104.1 and 0.103.4 . Recall that the project switched to Cisco’s hands in 2013 after purchasing Sourcefire, developing Clamav and Snort. Project code spreads under the GPLV2 license.

Main changes in ClamAV 0.104.1:

  • In the FreshClam utility, a suspension of activity is implemented 24 hours after receiving the response with the server 403 from the server. The change is designed to reduce the load on the content delivery network from customers blocked due to too frequent sending requests for updates.
  • Recycled logic of recursive check and extract data from nested archives. Added new restrictions on the definition of nested files when scanning each file.
  • in the text of warnings about the overview of the limits during the scanning process, such as Heuristics.limits.Exceeded.MaxFilesize, added a mention of the basic name of the virus to determine the correlation between the virus and blocking.
  • warnings “Heuristics.Email.Exceedsmax. *” Renamed in “Heuristics.limits.Exceeded. *” To unify names.
  • eliminated problems leading to memory leaks and emergency completion.
