Dangerous consequence of food intake alone

Korea researchers revealed that eating alone leads to an increase in the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases in older women. The article of scientists was published in the journal MENOPAUSE.

When taking food alone, people are inclined to eat faster. The consequence of this is to increase the body mass index, blood pressure and blood lipid level – factors that increase the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases. Scientists out of three South Korean universities analyzed the health of about 600 women over 65. They compared the lifestyle and diet of the participants of the study that fed alone and in the company.

It turned out that the first had a smaller consumption of calories, carbohydrates, fiber, sodium and potassium. In addition, they were 2.58 times higher than the risk of wall development – caused by a reduction in blood flow of pain in the chest, which are also symptom of coronary failure.

The previously conducted study also showed that frequent food intakes alone are associated with increasing risk of obesity and elevated blood pressure.
