The US Defense Ministry believes that the likelihood of a random armed conflict with North Korea is extremely small, the Chairman of the Committee of Headquarters of the Armed Forces (Sun) of the United States General Mark Milli gave such an assessment during the Annual Forum on the Safety Forum (Sun), TASS reports.
According to the military, currently the Government of the DPRK seems stable and well controls its army and all weapons. “So I don’t think that you would see something accidentally from their side. This is possible, but I don’t think that the probability of this is high. They have very dense control over their system,” he stressed.
Millie indicated however, the events on the Korean Peninsula can relatively quickly start developing in an unfavorable vein, so the United States is constantly in a high degree of combat readiness regarding this region.
Previously, the US Armed Forces command condemned the launch of the DPRK of ballistic missiles and called on Pyongyang to refrain from destabilizing actions. The agency raised the threat of actions to North Korea and stressed that they do not bear the immediate threat of Washington and its allies. Nevertheless, the command promised to monitor the situation.
