Russian Embassy denied the information about the death of two Russians as a result of the crash of the An-26 aircraft in South Sudan. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
In the diploma, they pointed out that on board the crashed cargo aircraft, which carried out the flight on the delivery of diesel fuel to the village of Maban State of the Upper Nile, there were no Russian citizens. Russian diplomats stressed that publications in the Western media about the death of Russians do not correspond to reality.
Earlier, the Associated Press (AP) reported that the collapse of the An-26 aircraft in South Sudan claimed the lives of two citizens of Russia. According to the director of the local airport, there were five people on board, including pilots and crew members – three of them were citizens of South Sudan. All of them died.
