Belarus extended a ban on importation of ŠKODA and NIVEA products

In Belarus, the term of the import of goods ŠKODA AUTO, Liqui Moly and Beiersdorf (uses the NIVEA trademark – approx. “Tape.ru”) extended to an unknown period. Products of these companies are prohibited for importation into the territory of Belarus by the Resolution of the Government of the country. You can find out the exact period after the publication of the regulatory act on the national Internet portal.

For the first time, the restriction of the Government of Belarus to the ban on the import of goods under the ŠKODA AUTO brands, Liqui Moly and Beiersdorf entered into force in May 2021. Now Minsk again extends these terms, forbidden to import cars into the territory of the country, their components, lubricants and many types of cosmetics and hygienic goods.

Trademarks were an embargo on the part of the Government of Belarus due to their refinement to sponsor the World Hockey Championship-2021. In January 2021, ŠKODA AUTO and other companies stated that they would not allocate money from the International Hockey Federation, if she agrees to carry out part of the tournament matches in Belarus. It influenced the decision of the federation, and in the end, all the matches were held in neighboring Latvia.

Škoda AUTO is a title sponsor of the World Hockey Championship, and other companies listed contribute to the financing of these competitions.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the benefits of sanctions for the country. In his opinion, restrictions will help Minsk to provide themselves with products independently.
