Dozens of people were killed in a fire in a 13-storey multifunctional building in the city of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan. It is reported by France 24.
According to the publication, the victims were at least 46 people fire. Most of the dead were in the 7-11 floors, where residential apartments were located. The first five floors of the building were intended for commercial premises, but they were not busy.
The local authorities said that the fire had spread to several floors before firefighters managed to bring it under control. To extinguish the fire took more than four hours, it was attended by 70 fire engines. Cause of the fire is currently set, it is not ruled out arson version.
