In the Russian government, the condition of increasing gas supplies to Europe was called against the background of the energy crisis. He was in an interview with Russia 24 “Minister of Energy Nikolai Shulginov, Interfax reports.
According to the minister, for deliveries to Europe, additional volumes of Russian gas may require the conclusion of new contracts. “Well, this is within the framework of the current contracts and, I think that if requests are, then only through the formation of new terms of contracts,” said Shulginov.
He also added that Russia continues to remain a reliable supplier of fuel, even despite the growth in demand from European consumers in an energy crisis.
Since the end of August, in Europe there is an increased gas demand, caused by a limited proposal, a low level of completion of underground storage and interruptions in supplies, including due to the accident at the Gazprom factory in the new Urengoy. During this time, the price of gas on European stock exchanges and hubs has set several records, but then began to decline.
