Japan: allowed possibility of applying preventive strikes on opponent databases

The new Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kisida made it possible to apply preventive strikes on the enemy databases as part of the revision of the national defense strategy aimed at developing the potential of Japanese troops. He made such a statement in an interview with the largest Japanese newspaper Yomiuri.

He noted that the technology of supersonic and ballistic missiles continue to develop, and from the point of view of ensuring the safety of the Japanese people, it is necessary to start the revision of the national defense strategy as soon as possible to consider all realistic possibilities.

In Japan, over the past 17 years, discussions are being conducted on the acquisition of weapons, which will allow to apply a preventive blow to the rocket attitudes of one of the main enemies in the region – North Korea. Such a defensive concept will be a fundamental shift in Tokyo military strategy. However, as the former Defense Minister of Japan Taro Kano noted before considering the possibility of making a similar strategy, it is necessary to clearly determine what exactly this concept is involved.
