Floating Tanks PT-76 continue to exploit in the marine infantry and ground forces of Indonesia. Judging by the published pictures, the Soviet machines upgraded. It is reported by “Russian Gazeta”.
Since 1962, Indonesia has received about a hundred floating tanks. 55 cars continue to service in the Marine Corps of Indonesia Navy, and 12 tanks are used in the ground forces. On published pictures, the military showed upgraded PT-76 options.

Also Indonesian tanks received a new Detroit Diesel 6V92T engine, which allowed to increase the maximum speed of the machine to 58 kilometers per hour.
In September, snapshots of the process of overhaul PT-76 in Vietnam appeared. Recovering machines takes place at the X70 plant, which refers to the Sea Engineering Department.
In August, the Sandbox portal wrote about the Soviet laser tank. The authors of the material noted that the machine 1Q17 “compression” was intended to disabre the enemy rocket guidance systems.
