The size of the maternal capital in 2022 will be indexed with the actual inflation, said Anton Kotyakov on Thursday, writes Interfax. The innovation follows from the instructions of the President of Vladimir Putin.
“In accordance with the instructions of the President, we will review it, but to adjust the article in the law on the budget for the future, a change in the basic law on maternal capital is required,” Katyakov said.
On October 12, the President requested additional measures to support Russians in advanced inflation during the month. He complained about the need since 2022 to index social payments on the value of the actual, and not projected inflation.
On October 14, it was also known that the Russian government will additionally allocate more than 28 billion rubles for payments to families in which there are children aged three to seven years, and six billion on payments to large families. The relevant measures announced the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishoustin.
