The European Union (EU) should draw up a list of countries whose citizens will ban flights to Minsk, and not to introduce new restrictions against the republic, accusing it to transport illegal migrants to Europe. Such a proposal put forward the Department of Aviation of the Ministry of Transport of Belarus in response to the EU’s intentions to introduce another package of sanctions against Minsk.
in the department stated that the Belarusian airline “Belavia” never participated in the organization of transportation of illegal migrants, because all the accusations are absolutely groundless. The department staff recalled that Iraqis and citizens of other Middle East countries arrive in Minsk by tourist groups and have tourist visa and tickets and tickets back.
Therefore, they emphasized in the department, the EU could determine the list of states whose citizens will be prohibited from flights to Belorussia. It is noted that Minsk in turn undertakes to fully implement the relevant EU decision.
