Taliban to ask for economic and political assistance in Moscow

Taliban delegation (terrorist movement is prohibited in Russia) decided to ask for economic and political assistance and support from countries that will take part in the conference on Afghanistan in Moscow. This was announced by TASS representative of the Taliban, Deputy Minister of Information and Culture Zabihulla Mujahid.

“We will ask for countries participating in the Moscow Conference, with our neighbors, to support us. Especially in the economic and political-diplomatic areas, so that countries have been responsible and supported Afghanistan,” he said.

Mujahid added that Afghanistan’s economy needs support. He recalled, the country plays an important role in ensuring safety and stability in the region, this issue will also be submitted for discussion.

Earlier, the head of the State Department Ned Price said that the United States would not participate in the Moscow Format on Afghanistan because of difficulties in the logistics. He explained that for the United States “is more logistics to take part this week.” At the same time, he noted that Washington supports this process and can take part in it in the future.
