On Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in the format of video conferencing under the guidance from the Russian side – General Director of Roskosmos State Corporation Dmitry Rogozin and from the Chinese side – the head of the Chinese National Space Administration Zhana Khajiang took place the 22nd meeting of the Cooperation on cooperation in the field of cooperation Cosmos of the Russian-Chinese Commission on the preparation of regular meetings of Russian and China’s heads.
During the meeting, reports on the results of the work of the subcommission, the prospects for the development of space sectors of the two countries are scheduled for steps to further cooperate in the field of creating an international scientific lunar station. Special attention was paid to the formation of a regulatory framework in the field of creating and using MNLS.
In addition, a positive dynamics in a multilateral format was noted – in the current year, BRICS secured an agreement on the exchange of satellite data from the remote sensing of the Earth, which is extremely relevant to solve problems related to climate change and environmental protection.
At the end of the meeting, Dmitry Rogozin and Zhang Khajian expressed hope for the early conduct of a personal meeting as the epidemiological situation in the world normalizes.
