The leader of the Haitian gang of 400 Mawozo threatened to kill the stolen Christian missionaries from the USA and Canada, if he does not pay the required redemption in the amount of one million US dollars. This was announced by the NBC News TV channel.
The leader, known in Haiti under the pseudonym Lamo Sanju, recorded the video in which he said that he would do with the abducted missionaries. “If I can’t get what I need, I would better kill these Americans, I will defuse each of them on a large-caliber rifle,” said Sanju, although they did not show the hostages.
However, five corpses were demonstrated in his video, which the leader called his “fallen soldiers.” According to him, they were killed by Haitian law enforcement officers under the command of Leon Charles police chief. “Charles made me cry, gentlemen. I looked all my eyes, and I will make you cry, I will make you cry in bloody tears,” – threatened the gangster.
Earlier, while in Ecuador, US Secretary of State Anthony Bibinen assured that the White House is in constant contact with the FBI and the Gaiti government for this incident. He said that Washington does everything possible to free the hostages as soon as possible.
The abduction of 17 Christian missionaries from Canada and the USA became known on October 17. They were captured by hostage when they were sitting on a bus next to the shelter in the capital of Haiti in Port-O-Prince.
