Effectiveness of revaccination MODERNA is estimated

Researchers from the United States showed that the production of the booster dose of the MODERNA vaccine six months after vaccination significantly increased the number of neutralizing antibodies against all the concerns of SARS-COV-2 options in the MacAk-Rh. An article by scientists with evacuation evaluation by the drug was published in the journal Science.

Specialists from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases of the US National Health Centers, Moderna, and University of Emory and Jones Hopkins began to conduct their research six months ago, when the most common variant of coronavirus in America was a beta option. The researchers were focused on it: the researchers received two doses of the macaque vaccine were given either the “original” vaccine MRNA-1273, or MRNA-1273.β – containing a beta-option S-protein sequence.

As a result, for the first group there was an increase in the IgG antibody titer four times, for the second – at six. Two weeks after the revaccination, the antibody titers in the macaques returned to the peak level. Such a reaction was observed for all concerns about the option – beta, delta, gamma, epsilon. Increased production of antibodies remained at least eight weeks after the booster dose is obtained and greater than after receiving the second dose. Revaccination provided a high level of protection, significantly suppressing the replication of the virus in the respiratory tract and nose.
