Italy reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic bird flu

Italy reported epidemic among domestic birds of highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1. Reports about it Reuters with reference to the World Animal Health Organization (OIE).

The outbreak of the disease occurred on a commercial farm in the fattening of the indeek in the north of the country. The organization said that the farm in Ronko-al-Adige in Verona provinces lost 200 of 13 thousand birds.

Earlier in Russia in several villages of the Tyumen region due to the outbreak of avian influenza on the local poultry farm announced an emergency mode. According to the agency, the CS regime was introduced in the villages of Borovsky and Andreevsky at 20:00 on October 16. Prior to this, the poultry farms were sent to quarantine for three weeks, and birds seized.

In July, it became known that in China, three people became infected with high-pathogenic H5N6 bird flu. One of them, a 54-year-old woman, died ten days after identifying the first symptoms. Infection cases are fixed in the southwest of the country.
