Thus, the growth of inflation commented on the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, reports Interfax.
The representative of the Kremlin stressed that the government constantly monitors the situation with prices in accordance with the instructions of Vladimir Putin. Existing mechanisms are designed to exclude the jump-shaped price increase.
Last week, the Central Bank of Russia raised the key rate from 6.75 percent to 7.5 percent, which significantly exceeded the expectations of analysts. The head of Elvira Nabiullin’s regulator explained the situation with a sharp increase in intellectual expectations.
At the end of the year, the Central Bank expects inflation at the level of 7.4-7.9 percent, which is significantly higher than previous forecasts and the target indicator of 4 percent.
