The head of the state corporation “Roscosmos” Dmitry Rogozin spoke at the plenary session of the heads of space agencies in the framework of the International Astronautical Forum in Dubai. The event was attended by almost all managers of major space organizations.
Dmitry Rogozin voiced the main events of the Russian cosmonautics for the current year. Among them, the anniversary of the flight Yuri Gagarin, the launch of the Multi-Purpose Laboratory Module “Science” and the Scientific and Educational Project “Call” – Flight Film Equipment into space, filming materials for documentaries and first in the history of the artistic film, shot at the International Space Station.
For Roscosmos in the “Challenge” project, except for the educational component, scientific and technical aspects are extremely important – this is a new technology for the operational training of non-professional participants in the space flight, performing the target task, a new system of controlling the Soyuz MS spacecraft and its docking With the ISS one professional cosmonaut, modeling and working out theoretically possible situation with the need to provide surgical care at the International Space Station. The competence and experience gained in the project will be used in the preparation and implementation of future tourist space missions, the first of which will be held in December of this year by the crew as part of the commander of the ship, the cosmonaut of Roscosmos Alexander Misurkin, as well as citizens of Japan, Yusaka Maesava and Jozo Hirano.
The most promising projects of Russian cosmonautics were also affected in the speech. They included the project “Sphere”, the creation of a multi-precision carrier missile on methane and work on the Space Agency “Zeus” with a nuclear energy installation of the megawatt class.
In the near future, Russia will continue to work on the withdrawal of spacecraft grouping “Sphere”. In the current version of “sphere” contains five groupings of satellites for telecommunication works and five – for remote sensing of the Earth. At the same time, work continues to create a methane launch vehicle “Amur-LNG”. According to the technical requirements, its engines will provide more than 300 inclusions, and this will give in perspective the possibility of more than a hundred flights of the first stage.
In addition, by 2030, Russia plans to launch and test the “nuclear tug” – a spacecraft with a nuclear energy plant of the megawatt class. Zeus will become a real scientific and technological breakthrough for missions to other planets and asteroids. He will be able to carry a big payload than modern spacecraft.
