Finnish analytical organization EVA conducted a study and found out that another European country changed the attitude towards Russia. The results of the survey showed that 45 percent of the Finns surveyed negatively include, and 60 percent saw a military threat in the country, it was reported on the company’s website.
The study showed that 34 percent of Finns believe that they have no reasons to negatively refer to Russia. The opposite point of view has 45 percent of respondents. At the same time, 63 percent of the residents of Finland positively treated Russia. In the survey EVA, 2059 people aged 18 to 79 years from March 24 to April 7 were participating from March 24 to April 7.
According to EVA, the older people have a warmer attitude towards Russia. At the same time, than younger respondents, the less positive they are configured. However, analysts noted that it is too early to talk about the sustainability of this trend. They recalled that in 2018 the Finns were more favorable to Russia.
Political analyst, leading researcher at the Institute of Europe RAS Sergey Fedorov explained that the deterioration of relations to Russia is associated with the image of the country in the Western media.
“Propaganda, Western media exhibit Russia as a state-aggressor, the State-revisionist along with the PRC, who wants to change the world order after the events of the thirty years ago,” he stressed.
Previously, Russia called a critical threat. This was stated by the chief of headquarters of Defense of Great Britain Nicholas Carter.
