Windows 11 added Google Play shop with Android applications. About this in its twitter reported the developer under the nickname ADELTAX.
The author stated that he managed to deploy under Windows 11 a full-fledged Google Play application store. He also showed that the programs downloaded from the online repository are workers and start under the OS from Microsoft.
ADELTAX described a way to add a store in the GitHub service. The developer noted that this method is relatively complex and requires certain skills. However, the fact of the appearance of a larger number of Android applications hints at the fact that in the future Microsoft will add this option officially.
According to Microsoft, mobile applications are added to Windows 11 using Amazon services. “In the coming months, we will release new applications through updates to the preliminary evaluation program of Windows,” the company says.
In late October, it became known that Microsoft added in Windows 11 the ability to launch Android applications. At the initial stage, this feature is available only to the participants of the beta test program, the number of programs is limited to 50 pieces.
