The Russian Ministry of Transport suggested raising the fare for paid tracks. This is stated in the draft law made by public discussion on the portal of projects of regulatory legal acts.
In the explanatory note, the document states that to increase the rates of road construction in the conditions of budget deficit, a review of extrabudgetary financing tools is required. The Ministry of Transport also noted that the passage of paid roads in Europe by 35.5 percent is higher than in Russia – 3.59 rubles per kilometer against 2.65 rubles.
Mintrans proposed to increase the maximum fare for paid reconstructed and equipped with “autodorm” federal roads for passenger cars from 3.65 to five rubles per kilometer, on bridges and overpass on paid roads – from 21 to 29 rubles per kilometer. The price for travel on new built roads is planned to increase to eight rubles per kilometer. For trucks, buses and trucks provide their maximum tariffs.
In late October, the head of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) Alexander Shokhin proposed to consider the issue of introducing fees for the fare of trucks on the roads of regional importance. According to Shwichina, he understands the concerns of the heads of the regions due to the maintenance of heavy trucks from the federal routes to regional. Thus, drivers are trying to drive around the paid areas of the road, explained the head of RSPP.
