In the Russian Ministry of Agriculture commented on information about the increase in buckwheat prices in the country. As stressed in the department, now the volume of production ensures the demand of enterprises and the domestic market, reports TASS.
The ministry stressed that the needs of the domestic market in the main types of cereals are now fully provided. Simultaneously in the Ministry of Agriculture indicated that enterprises operate in conditions of constantly growing costs. Among other things, this is due to the increase in prices for mineral fertilizers, electricity, packaging and other components of the cost. “Agricultural producers maximize the increase in the cost of products due to their own profits,” they emphasized in the department.
Earlier, the Kommersant newspaper reported that the manufacturers of cereals in Russia warned trade networks on raising prices for buckwheat, oatmeal and flakes by 10-20 percent in November due to the increase in the cost of raw materials and packaging. According to the publication, the large manufacturer of Rosa warned partners about raising from 4 November prices for the most part of the positions by 10-20 percent. The “faithful” network confirmed the receipt of notifications from producers of croup on raising prices by an average of 15 percent.
