In Afghanistan there is a catastrophic situation. This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Tajikistan, Colonel-General Sherali Mirzo, reports RIA Novosti.
He noted that this conclusion follows from a number of factors: the lack of legitimate and inclusive government, functioning mechanisms of state power, as well as systematic violation of human rights. According to him, all of the above leads to the further transformation of the country into the emergence of international terrorism, threatening safety and stability in the region.
Mirzo also indicated that after the withdrawal of the military of the international coalition, the military-political situation in Afghanistan was completely degraded.
October 18, the joint military exercises of Russia and Tajikistan started to reflect the possible aggression on the part of Afghanistan, the power in which the “Taliban” was seized (a terrorist organization, prohibited in Russia). The grouping of the CSTO collective forces worked out the operation on the localization of the border conflict associated with attempts to international terrorists to penetrate the territory of Tajikistan.
August 15 “Taliban” took control of the whole territory of Afghanistan against the background of the withdrawal of American troops from the country. Dushanbe demanded to form an inclusive government there, in which all national minorities will be presented, and threatened not to recognize the Cabinet of Ministers, “formed by oppression.” In turn, Taliban accuses Tajikistan in interference in the internal affairs of Afghanistan.
