National egoism and attempts to protect their own geopolitical interests during a pandemic in Europe sometimes turned out to be stronger than universal values, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, writes “Russian Gazeta”.
According to politics, the pandemic revealed the fragmentation of European countries in the face of common misfortune. According to him, Europe did not respond in any way for calls for solidarity and mutual assistance, requests to cancel sanctions that prevent the work of physicians, as well as suggestions to stop the fire in “hot spots”.
“National Egoism,” Cave Logic “of the Cold War, Paranoid Phantom Fears, Attempts to Protect Own, narrow geopolitical interests completely and there are much stronger than the universal values,” accused Europe’s politician.
Earlier, Medvedev said that Russia from the spring of 2021 is in the fifth phase of the coronavirus pandemic, during which another increase in incidence is observed.
