Russia: accelerate Su-57 production

The production of Russian fifth generation aircraft Su-57 will accelerate with the help of augmented reality. The main award of the Competition of the United Aircraft Building Corporation (UAC) received a project to optimize the production of parts of the aircraft. This is reported by the press service of the UAC.

The project was developed by Specialists of Komsomolsky-on-Amur Aviation Plant (KNAAZ) named after Yuri Gagarin. According to the leading programmer of the plant, Valery Timokhin, the technologies of augmented reality will allow you to impose a digital model of the unit to the real object. This will help increase the quality and speed of technological operations.

Pilot project involves the use of advanced reality technologies for general inspection of aggregates. After that, the development of specialists KNAAZ plan to use when assembling and painting serial aircraft.

In August, the assembly of the Russian heavy shock-reconnaissance drone C-70 “Hunter” was shown in the plot of the TV channel “Star”. The unmanned apparatus can be the driven Su-57 fighter.

In July, Valery Timokhin spoke about the work on the project of assembling aircraft using the technologies of augmented reality. He noted that the new technology will improve the quality of the aircraft.
