Lavrov saw reson in refusal to transfer humanitarian assistance to Taliban

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov saw the reason that some representatives of the international community refuse to transfer humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan through the Taliban government (Taliban, prohibited in the Russian Federation a terrorist organization). This diplomat stated on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”, RIA Novosti reports.

“The question of how to distribute this help, many do not want to give it directly to the government, they want to work through international organizations,” the minister said. He noted that Russia provides assistance in negotiations with the Taliban on the admission of humanitarian missions in Afghanistan.

According to Lavrov, Russia will also provide independent support to the Afghan people, with the help of food supplies and medicines. He added that similar help is now coming to the countries of Central Asia.
