On Monday, November 1, 2021, the city of Moscow took place negotiations of the Deputy General Director of the State Corporation “Roskosmos” Oleg Frolova and the Deputy Minister of Higher and Additional Education, Innovations, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Zimbabwe Reimor Maggani and the Acting Director of National Geospatial and Space Agency Zimbabwe (Singsa) Pianos Gveime.
As part of the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects for Russian-Zimbabvian cooperation in the field of remote sensing of the Earth from space and training for the space industry. The summary of the meeting was the signing of a joint memorandum on understanding between the state corporation Roscosmos and Singles on cooperation in the field of research and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
During the visit to Moscow, the delegation of the Republic of Zimbabwe will also visit the enterprise of the Russian Rocket and Space Industry: Scientific Center for Operational Monitoring Earth “Russian Space Systems”, Scientific and Production Association named after S.A. Lavochka and Flight Management Center “Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering”.
