France President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson decided to reconcile their countries against the growing conflict around the rights to catch fish in British waters after Brexit, writes Reuters.
Politicians used to remove the tension of the G20 Summit site in Rome. There they conducted a private meeting on the issue of fishing quotas.
At the same time, Macron continues to insist that London does not issue a sufficient number of exiting permits provided by the Agreement from the EU in its territorial waters. Johnson in turn argues that he performs all agreements.
The dispute about fishing quotas was one of the reasons for Brexit, after which the UK hoped to conduct more independent policies. However, completely eliminated disagreements failed. In late October, France, dissatisfied with the behavior of Great Britain, captured her trading ship in his waters.
