Alexander Fedorovich Pisulshchuk made his cosmic flight from January 24 to July 22, 1993 as a flight engineer on the Soyuz TM-16 Spacecraft and the World Orbital Complex. During the flight, Alexander Poleshchuk performed two outlets into open space with a total duration of 9 hours 58 minutes. The duration of the space flight was 179 days.
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated July 23, 1993 for the successful flight and the courage and heroism, Alexander Fedorovich, the Poshevka was awarded the title of hero of the Russian Federation.
