Growth of real income of Russians has reached a record

The growth of real disposable revenues of Russians accelerated to a maximum for 11 years and amounted to 8.1 percent. This is evidenced by Rosstat data.

Real disposable revenues of Russians have increased in annual terms in the third quarter after increased by 7.4 percent in the second quarter. Since the beginning of 2021, the growth was 4.1 percent compared with the same period of 2020. Real disposable citizens’ revenues exceeded a pandemic level.

With a record increase in revenue, consumer demand was restored: citizens began to spend more on the purchase of goods and services. At the same time, the savings of Russians since the beginning of the year increased only by 1.5 percent compared with 6.2 percent in 2020.
