The price of summer diesel fuel during the auction reached 52.48 thousand rubles per ton. This is evidenced by the data of the St. Petersburg International Commodity Exchange.
The cost of the summer diesel engine has grown by 0.2 percent and updated the record value. The previous maximum set on October 26 was 52.42 thousand rubles per ton. The price of interseasonous fuel also increased by 0.1 percent to 53.64 thousand rubles per ton, and a winter diesel engine – by 0.07 percent to 58.98 thousand rubles per ton. These indicators are also close to record values. The cost of fuel oil has grown in price by 0.5 percent to 26.59 thousand rubles per ton. Gasoline AI-92 went up by 0.5 percent to 53.55 thousand rubles per ton, and gasoline AI-95 is 0.5 percent to 54.66 thousand rubles per ton.
Earlier in October, the Ministry of Economic Development predicted a sharp rise in prices by the end of the year to non-food goods, including gasoline. Inflation in this category should be 7.2 percent to December 2021. In addition to gasoline, building materials, tobacco and fabrics rise in price.
Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak noted that the cost of gasoline increases within inflation. He noted that if prices for petroleum products grew in accordance with the increase in oil prices, then gasoline for consumers would be even more expensive. Novak stressed that prices manage to restrain due to the damper mechanism, according to which the state compensates for the manufacturers part of the difference if the export prices for fuel are higher than the conditional internal.
