The last attack in the Afghan capital dates back to October 3. At least five people had been killed in an explosion near the ID Gah mosque in Kabul, in an attack claimed by the EI.
The same military hospital, the largest in the country, had already been attacked in March 2017 perpetrated by assailants dressed in medical staff, a six-hour bloody shooting inside the building also claimed by the EI, which had made 50 deaths according to the official balance sheet, more than double according to safe sources.
