Almost 150 thousand doses of vaccine against coronavirus from various manufacturers were destroyed as a result of a major fire in the Philippines. This is reported by CNN Philippines.
According to the publication, the fire began in the building of the local government of Pagadian in the province of South Zamboang. The Filipino authorities said that the fire destroyed at least 9176 doses of Astrazeneca, 14,400 doses of the ModernA vaccine, 36,164 doses of the preparation of SINOVAC and 88,938 doses of the Pfizer vaccine, transfers TASS.
It is noted that information about the affected and dead has not been received. However, the smoke from the fire has reached a neighboring building, in which patients with COVID-19 were placed. Twelve of them are temporarily evacuated to other chambers.
October 12 reported that President Philippines Rodrigo Dotherte proposed to make vaccinations to citizens who do not want to vaccinate from coronavirus while they sleep. At the same time, the politician recognized that it can be indirectly to blame for the fact that many residents of the country are still not vaccinated from COVID-19.
